Las vegas Hotel and Casino

Las Vegas (or "Vegas") is the most populous city in the state of Nevada, and a major vacation, shopping, entertainment, and gambling destination. It was established in 1905 and officially became a city in 1911. It is the largest U.S. city founded in the 20th century.
The center of gambling in the U.S., Las Vegas is marketed as The Entertainment Capital of the World, also commonly known as Sin City, due to the popularity of legalized gambling, availability of alcoholic beverages at any time (like all of Nevada), and various forms and degrees of adult entertainment. The city's glamorous image has made it a popular setting for films and television programs.

So... are you a Serious Gambler?
Certian casino games are "Beatable". By beatable, we mean that without being extraordinarily lucky, you can make money over a long termm basis playing the game. Here is the list of Las vegas Hotel and Casino games that you can win at:

  • Poker (Also recognised as a game of skill)
  • Blackjack -- with card counting unless a continuous shuffler is used
  • Video poker -- with proper pay table and/or progressive jackpot
  • Pai Gow Poker and Tiles -- player-dealt
  • Sports betting
  • Horse racing (parimutuel)
  • Slot machines -- Las vegas Hotel and Casino linked slots payout over 100% only when multi-player jackpots reach a certain point
  • Online casinos -- they give 25%-100% signup bonuses. This bonus raises the payout to arouns 115%. It's the _best odds you'll ever get!

The last two on the list surprized me. I guess online casinos can lose a few hundred dollars on each new player with the hope that the player will stick around and that they'll eventually recoup their losses. The progressive slots is kind of like the Powerball lottery. In general the payout is 25%. However, when the jackpot goes from 5M to 50M, the payout jumps from 25% to 150%. Same thing with the progressive slots. Once the jackpot gets high enough, the odds are on your side when you play...

I love visiting Vegas, even though I'm not a serious gambler. The sights and sounds of the city just astound me, and the whole night is a buzz!

I do play at an online casino whilst I'm at home, so I never lose touch with my vegas-side; always ready for that next trip!
